Ritacco, Brekke Collect weekly Awards

Wisconsin Lutheran College's Karah Ritacco and Concordia University Wisconsin's Emily Brekke have been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Position Player and Pitching Softball Student-Athletes of the Week for events of April 10-16, as selected by the league's sports information directors.

Ritacco (Chicago, Illinois) went 9-for-12 for an unprecedented .750 clip over four games last week for the Warriors. She had a hit in every game, including consecutive three-hit games while scoring five runs.

Brekke (Waterford, Wis.) threw a no-hitter in game one of Saturday's doubleheader against Marian University and posted a 3-0 record with a 0.93 ERA in 15 innings of work in three appearances last week. On Saturday against Marian she faced just one over the minimum in a five-inning no-hitter, finishing the game with eight strikeouts. She helped the Falcons secure the sweep by coming on for the final three innings of game two, punching out five.
