  • Jeff Pill joins Maranatha

    WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Maranatha Baptist Bible College is pleased to announce that Jeff Pill will join Maranatha athletics department as men's soccer coach and overseeing the women's team. Jeff Pill leaves his job as Women's National Staff Coach for U.S. Soccer and assistant coach for the U19 National Team with an international record of 11-0-1.

    RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- Concordia University Chicago announces the appointment of Micah Middendorf as head coach for the men's soccer team, effective April 1. Middendorf takes over for Adam Nirenberg who coached the Cougars during the 2007 season.

    MILWAUKEE -- MSOE men's soccer head coach Jimmy Banks will be inducted into the Wisconsin Soccer Association Hall Fame this Saturday, March 15. Banks has been the head coach of the Raiders since 1999.

    AURORA, Ill. -- Aurora University Spartan men's soccer senior defender Drew Taylor (DeKalb, IL/DeKalb H.S.) added a highly distinguished honor to his already impressive academic and athletic resume. Taylor is one of 58 NCAA student-athletes to be awarded educational grants through the NCAA postgraduate scholarship program. The winners (29 men and 29 women) represent fall-sports participants who will receive one-time, nonrenewable grants of $7,500.

  • Stars men's soccer receive at-large berth to national tournament

    RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- The Dominican University Stars will represent the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) in the 2007 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championships. The Stars (16-3-2) received one of just four Pool B berths to the national tournament and will travel to Whitewater, Wis. to take on the UW-Whitewater Warhawks (15-2-2) in a First Round matchup on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at the Warhawks' Fiskum Field with a second first round matchup featuring Carthage College (13-6-2) and Washington University (Mo.) (13-4-2) following at 1:30 p.m.
  • Stars crowned NAC regular season champs

    RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- The Dominican University Stars secured their second Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) regular season conference championship in as many years, going 9-0-1 in NAC play during the regular season. Throughout the season, the Stars outscored their NAC opponents 46-2 in conference play, surrendering just one goal apiece to Aurora University and Wisconsin Lutheran College.

    ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Regents men’s soccer program has a new leader. Rockford College Athletic Director Hank Espensen recently announced the promotion of Wicky Green to the position of Head Men’s Soccer Coach. Green had spent the last two seasons as an assistant coach for the Regents’ women’s soccer team.
