Wisconsin Lutheran College's John-Marcus Carruthers, Lakeland University's Diante Moses and Wisconsin Lutheran's Grant Fleming have been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Football Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Student-Athletes of the Week for events of Oct. 9-15, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Carruthers (Fayetteville, Ark.) rushed for a season-high 174 yards on 27 carries in WLC's 22-19 victory over Concordia University Wisconsin Saturday. The rookie running back averaged 6.4 yards per carry and found the end zone once. He also caught two passes for 23 yards, totaling 197 yards on the afternoon.
Moses (Houston, Texas) led the Muskies with nine tackles (eight solo), an interception, two tackles for loss including one sack, a forced fumble plus two quarterback hurries, as Lakeland held the Benedictine University offense to 316 yards.
Fleming (Kaukauna, Wis.) connected on all three of his field goal attempts in WLC's 22-19 victory over Concordia Wisconsin Saturday. He made good on field goals of 20, 25 and 26 yards in slick conditions, including two field goals in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
