MILWAUKEE, Wis. (naccsports.org) --- The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) has announced its major awards and all-conference teams for the 2018 women's volleyball season. All awards are voted on by the league's head coaches.

Aurora senior outside hitter Katie Vondra was named the league's Player of the Year, while Dominican's Megan Parker and Gabija Sinickaite were named Defensive Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year, respectively. Aurora head coach James Seitelman was named the 2018 NACC Women's Volleyball Coach of the Year.

Vondra, who earned her second NACC Player of the Year honor in three seasons, ranks second among league players in kills (368) and kills per set (3.83) entering the NACC Tournament. She also averaged 10.55 attacks per set. Vondra had double-digit kills in 24 of 29 matches played this season, topped by 22 in a four-set win over Concordia Chicago Sept. 18, and had 14 double-doubles. In league play, Vondra averaged 4.13 kills, 3.13 digs and 0.55 service aces per set while posting a NACC-best 198.5 points.

Parker leads the NACC in digs per set (5.68), while ranking second in total digs (534). She posted double-figures in digs in 22 of 27 matches played, posting a season-high 35 against Illinois College Oct. 27. Parker ranks 26th in NCAA Division III in digs per set and 58th in total digs. She posted a league-best 194 digs in NACC play, an average of 5.39 per set, despite playing in only 10 of 12 league matches.

Sinickaite ranks fifth among league players with 290 kills while posting a .257 attack percentage - the best of any NACC player with over 500 total attacks. Also effective at the net, she ranks 12th in the NACC with 58 block assists and 13th in total blocks with 64. Sinickaite posted double-digits in kills in 17 matches, including 14 of the last 16 headed into Thursday's NACC Tournament semifinal at Concordia Wisconsin. Twice this season, she posted 20 kills - Sept. 4 at St. Norbert and Sept. 19 against Augustana (Ill.). Sinickaite's 154 points earned in league play ranked fourth overall and first among NACC freshmen.

Seitelman has led the Spartans to a 21-8 mark overall (through Oct. 31) and an unblemished 12-0 mark in league play as Aurora won its first NACC title since the league's inaugural 2006 season. This is Seitelman's first NACC Women's Volleyball Coach of the Year honor.

Aurora had a league-high four all-NACC selections, including three first-teamers. Concordia Wisconsin (2 first-team picks) and Lakeland (1 first-team pick) both had three players named all-league, while Benedictine, Concordia Chicago, Dominican and Wisconsin Lutheran each had a pair of players selected.
