LEXINGTON, Ky. --- Aurora University and Concordia University Wisconsin are among teams receiving votes in the NCAA Division III Preseason Coaches Top 25 Poll released Tuesday by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).
Aurora, last year's Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference regular-season and tournament runners-up, received 80 points to land just outside the Top 25 after a 26-8 mark overall and an 10-1 record inside the NACC.
Concordia Wisconsin, which went 11-0 in league play last year and captured the NACC Tournament crown, earned 13 points.
The 2018 NACC women's volleyball schedule gets underway Friday, August 31, with 11 of 13 schools in action. Concordia Chicago and Concordia Wisconsin get underway the following day (Saturday, September 1) at the Concordia Invitational Volleyball Tournament in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Wednesday, September 12 is the first date of league play with six matches on the docket. The season culminates in late October with the top six teams advancing to the NACC Women's Volleyball Tournament, which begins October 30.
