Vatterott picked up a thrilling 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 10-7 win over Aurora's Daniel Micun at No. 1 singles in the Stars' only match of the week. He also teamed up and got the 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles.

John Gehm, Concordia University Wisconsin
...6-0...Junior...Frankenmuth, Mich. (Frankenmuth)...
Gehm tallied three victories in singles play with wins over opponents from Judson, Beloit and Concordia Wisconsin last week. He also got three wins in doubles play as he teamed with Tim Staffeld.

Andrew McGlashen, Lakeland College
...6-0...Freshman...Southampton, England (Cheam)...
McGlashen continued his dominance at the No. 2 singles and doubles spots for Lakeland in a pair of 8-1 team victories over the weekend claiming a pair of victories at each position. The Southampton, England, native has yet to drop more than three games in one set during singles competition. He has won seven straight matches and hasn't lost in singles play since Feb. 26.

Matt Sarantopoulos, Dominican University
...6-0...Junior...Mount Prospect, Ill. (Prospect)...
Sarantopoulos helped the Stars to three victories last week posting a perfect 3-0 record at No. 4 singles and No. 3 doubles, with partner Marco Colapietro. In NAC play, Sarantopoulos and Colapietro topped Marian's Anklam and Lawson 8-0 on Saturday morning and then won a thrilling 9-7 match over Lakeland's Maier and Shiono as part of 5-4 win for the Stars. In singles play, Sarantopoulos swept MU's Sam Cripe in straight sets and then topped LC's Shiono 6-4, 4-6, 7-5.

March 22-28

Juan Montenegro, MSOE
...5-3...Sophomore...San Jose, Costa Rica (Calasanz)...
Montenegro won at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles as MSOE defeated Carroll University 5-4 Sunday night.

Pat Schramka, Concordia University Wisconsin
...5-10...Sophomore...Madison, Wis. (Edgewood)...
Schramka improved his overall singles record to 5-2 as the Falcons lost 6-3 to St. Norbert and defeated Ripon 8-1 on Saturday.
