AUSTIN, Texas – Four Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) men's soccer players have been named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division III men’s soccer teams selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) and announced Tuesday.
Aurora University senior forward Collin Foreman (North Barrington, Ill.) was named to the first team, while fellow Spartan Jacob Lysik (Sr., D, New Lenox, Ill.), Concordia University Wisconsin's Justin Totsky (Jr., D, Colgate, Wis.) and Edgewood College's Garrett Lee (Sr., F, Menomonee Falls, Wis.) were second-team selections.
Foreman, a finance major with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average, finished the 2018 season as a First Team All-NACC selection. He led AU offensively, picking up eight goals with one of those coming as a game winner and one assist.
Lysik, also majoring in finance and holding down a 3.92 GPA, was a Second Team All-Central Region honoree after picking up Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-NACC plaudits from the league's coaches. He led the AU defense that allowed 1.48 goals against while posting four shutouts and limited opponents to one goal or less in 10 contests. Individually, Lysik dished out 12 assists.
Totsky, an accounting major with a 4.0 GPA, started 13 games for CUW, helping anchor a defense that held opponents to one goal or less on 15 occasions in 2018.
Lee, who already has his bachelor's in accountancy and is pursuing an MBA, leaves Edgewood as one of the most decorated players in program history. This is his second Google Cloud Academic All-America® honor to go with three Google Cloud Academic All-District® mentions. On the pitch, he was named all-state three times and was selected all-region and First Team All-NACC in both 2017 and 2018. Lee posted team-highs in points (27) and goals (11) in 2018 while helping the Eagles to the NACC Tournament for the first time since 2014 and concluded his career as the program's all-time leader in points (103) and goals (43).
