Harvey Chosen To Play In Reese's Division III All-Star Game

KANSAS CITY, Missouri -- Capping a record-setting career that places him as one of the best players in program history, Tahron Harvey will play in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Reese's Division III College All-Star Game.

The game will be played as part of the NCAA Division III Championship. The contest takes place before the championship game in Salem, Va. at 2:30 p.m. Harvey is one of 20 representatives at the event. The rosters are comprised of two senior student-athletes from each of the eight regions in Division III along with two players chosen from online voting conducted by D3hoops.com.

Harvey is one of three players from the Central Region along with Juwan Henry of North Park University and Ty Sabin of Ripon College. All three players will partake in the event as members of the East team. The East will be led by head coach Page Moir, former head coach at Roanoke College. Moir won 428 games at Roanoke, coaching 27 years, and helped to bring championship weekend to Salem, Va.

Harvey, the NACC Player of the Year and a D3hoops.com First Team All-Central Region choice, averaged a career best 18.8 points per game this season, leading the team. The Glenbard East product also reeled in 7.5 rebounds per game while dishing out 6.3 assists.

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) today announced rosters for the 2017 Reese's® Division III College All-Star game, which will be played as part of the 2017 NCAA® Division III Men's Basketball Championship. Reese's brand is the official candy partner of the NCAA.The Reese's Division III College All-Star game will be played on Saturday, March 18, at 3:30 p.m. (EST), prior to the NCAA Division III championship game at the Salem Civic Center in Salem, Va. The teams are composed of two senior student-athletes from each of the eight regions in Division III and two seniors will be selected by online voting on D3hoops.com.

The game features a pair of outstanding former coaches who have both been recipients of the NABC Division III Distinguished Service Award. Former St. John's University (MN) coach Jim Smith will coach the West team and former Roanoke College coach Page Moir will guide the East team.
