Dominican University's Colin Janison and Rockford University's David Camacho have been named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Position Player and Pitching Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week for events of March 6-12, as selected by the league's sports information directors.
Janison (Las Vegas, Nevada) hit safely in all six games for the Stars last week, posting a .577 batting average and .656 on-base percentage. The junior picked up multiple hits in five of the six games, including four three-hit efforts. On the week, Janison drove in eight runs and scored another seven. In the field, he helped the Stars turn six double plays while playing five games at shortstop.
Camacho (Elk Grove, Illinois) fired a complete game to lead the Regents to a 2-1 victory over Defiance College. The senior tossed all nine innings allowing just five hits and no earned runs, while striking out six and walking none.
