Benedictine Repeats As NACC Men's All-Sports Award Champion

Benedictine, 2016-17 NACC Men's All-Sports Award Champion

The standings of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's All-Sports Award have been finalized with the completion of the 2016-17 academic year, and Benedictine University captured the men's title for the second consecutive year.

Benedictine compiled a 10.875 index, slightly ahead of runner-up Aurora University which had a 10.778 index and third-place Concordia University Wisconsin's 9.222.

Milwaukee School of Engineering was fourth (8.063), Wisconsin Lutheran College fifth (7.778), Edgewood College sixth (6.250) while Concordia University Chicago was seventh (5.375).

Dominican University was eighth (5.250), Marian University ninth (3.500), Rockford University 10th (3.429) and Lakeland University 11th (3.333).

The Benedictine men's teams took home championships in basketball -- both regular season and tournament titles -- indoor track & field and outdoor track & field, along with tournament title in men's soccer after a runner-up finish in the regular season.

The men's standings use a 14-point base.

Concordia University Wisconsin won the NACC Women's All-Sports Award, announced with the completion of the women's conference events last week.
